It is a perfect touring base with the cities of Dundee and Perth only 16 miles away. St Andrews 3/4 hour away, while Edinburgh is 56 miles to the south. The skiing centre of Glenshee and surrounding mountains are 40 minutes drive. All manner of events and entertainments are held throughout the year from the Highland games (Blairgowrie's is in september) to highland nights and ceilidhs. There are plenty of sporting facilities available locally including Golf, Skiing, Fishing, Cycling and Walking.
